When renowned French chef, Jacques Cantillon, first
made historic Bungunyah Manor home to his new signature
restaurant in January 2004, many wondered how this recipe
of olde world ambience and classical French cuisine
would turn out.
The verdict came in at the 2004 Restaurant Awards for
Excellence with Jacques Manor Restaurant winning awards
for :
- Winner Best European Restaurant - Gold Coast
- Winner Best Wedding Caterer - Gold Coast and Queensland
- Finalist Best European Restaurant - Queensland
- Finalist Best Wedding Caterer - Australia
The restaurant has distinguished itself by providing
meticulously prepared, classical French cuisine in an
intimate atmosphere warmed by open log fires and friendly,
attentive staff.
Attached to Bungunyah Manor Resort, it also offers patrons
the convenience of an overnight stay. Weddings are also
a specialty, with Jacques' reception menus earning the
award for Best Wedding Caterer.
Jacques loved providing patrons a meal to remember and
sharing a glass of wine with so many of them.
Jacques' legacy will continue as our Restaurant continues
to provide a unique dining venue with our Executive
Chef presenting his exciting and innovative cuisine
along with a selection of Jacques traditional french
